Founding Attorney
Oğuz Kara, the founder of Oğuz Kara Law Office (OKAB), completed his law degree at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law on a full scholarship. Having studied Media Law and International Law at the University of Copenhagen in 2009, he lectured on start-up law at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Istanbul Kültür University between 2020 and 2023.
Between 2023 and 2025, he completed his master's degree in business administration at XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, Germany, focusing on digital transformation management, and successfully defended his thesis on washing strategies in digital marketing.
Since 2020, Oğuz Kara has been supporting entrepreneurs as a mentor at the Istanbul Technical University Incubation Center (İTÜ Çekirdek). He also advises start-ups — particularly in the defense industry, healthcare, software and information technology sectors — as a mentor at Teknopark Istanbul, a joint project of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. His practice focuses on corporate law and intellectual and industrial property law, including shareholder disputes, share certificates, capital structures, unfair competition, non-compete obligations, key executive agreements, distribution agreements and trademark disputes. He has published numerous articles in Turkish and international publications, a law book titled 'Benim Fikrim Benim Kararım' and a novel titled 'Uyanış'. He has been a columnist for the Milliyet newspaper since 2020.
