
Oguz Kara, the founding partner of Oguz Kara Law Firm (OKAB), completed his undergraduate studies at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law with a full scholarship.
In 2009, he pursued education in Media Law and International Law at the University of Copenhagen. Between 2020 and 2023, he worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Kültür University, teaching startup law.
Between 2023 and 2025, Oguz Kara completed his master’s degree in Business with a specialization in Digital Transformation Management at XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, Germany. He successfully defended his thesis on washing strategies in digital marketing.
Since 2020, Oguz Kara has been supporting entrepreneurs as a "mentor" at Istanbul Technical University Incubation Center (İTÜ Çekirdek). Additionally, he serves as a mentor at Teknopark Istanbul, a joint project of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, providing consultancy particularly for startups in the defense industry, healthcare, software, and information technology sectors.
Oguz Kara specializes in corporate law, intellectual property law, and industrial property law, focusing on areas such as partnership disputes, shareholding structures, unfair competition, non-compete agreements, key executive contracts, distribution agreements, and trademark disputes.
He has published numerous articles in both local and international sources. He is also the author of a legal book titled Benim Fikrim Benim Kararım and a novel titled Uyanış. Since 2020, Oguz Kara has been a columnist for Milliyet Newspaper.
